Chili Sardine Pasta | SOZO Guilt-free Recipes

Once tried, this lemon garlic sardine pasta dish could very quickly become a firm family favorite, as it really is incredibly quick and easy to make, deliciously light to eat, and bursting with nutritional goodness.

Ingredients
- 270g Amazing Shirataki Angel Hair
- 1/3 cup olive oil
- ½ cup garlic, minced
- 1 can of Spanish-style sardines
- Chicken stock (1/4 chicken cube dissolved in 1 cup water)
- 3/4 teaspoon dried chilli flakes
- Handful of basil, chopped
- Salt, pepper and lemon juice to taste

Step 1
Cook shirataki as per packet’s instruction - rinse with cold water, boil for 2 minutes & drain. -
Step 2
Make the sauce while the pasta is cooking. Heat the oil in a large heavy-bottomed pan to hot, but not smoking. Sauté garlic for 30 seconds. Once fragrant, slightly lower the heat and toss in chili flakes. Stir well and cook for one minute. -
Step 3
Add the can of sardines with oil to the frying pan and bring to a gentle boil. Add chicken stock (¼ chicken cube dissolved in 1 cup of water) and let it simmer for 1-2 minutes. Add cooked shirataki noodles. Mix until fully coated. -
Step 4
Season with salt, pepper, and more lemon juice, if desired. Finish with lemon juice and basil.
